1. INTRODUCTION

The Advanced Diploma in Hotel Management programme is conducted over 2 years, excluding internships. The first academic year is designed for students to deeply study the skills needed to operate throughout hotel services, and the second year is dedicated to developing the ability to perform supervisory and management tasks.

In the first year, students will approach core subjects necessary as well as practical subjects related to core service departments in hotels. In the second year, students will develop and hone their skills in areas of operational supervision and subsequently in business planning, financial operations, human resource management, strategic marketing, and hotel property management.

Throughout the 2 years, there is an English training programme, from conversational English to specialized English for hotels and restaurants, to help students perfect their skills in an international environment. The remainder of the course is internship time at 4-5 star hotels and resorts. Students will intern for 4 – 6 months at establishments to practice, train, learn, and accumulate practical experience in the workplace.

The training method is a tight combination of direct learning and online support materials on the school’s educational portal. The learning content is designed with a competency-based approach, adapted from original Australian materials. The assessment of learning outcomes will be conducted in various forms such as: quizzes, written exams, skills practice, project assignments, third-party reports, etc. to encompass all aspects of the competencies that students accumulate. As a college that exemplifies excellence in hotel services, students are required to wear the school’s uniform throughout their study time. Details about the uniform will be specified in the “Student Handbook”.
